Miss Brooke Pellegrino – Co-Director of Dream Dance Academy.
Miss Brooke started dancing when she was just two years old and made her way to Dream Dance Academy at the age of three. She danced with Dream until senior year of high school and spent four years here as a student teacher before graduating high school. She went on to study Psychology and Criminal Justice at Rutgers University. While in college, Miss Brooke auditioned for and made the school’s dance company where she went on to dance for four more years. Miss Brooke eventually became the Vice President of her dance team and a choreographer who choreographed numerous dances that competed and won special awards at National Dance Association competitions. Miss Brooke has competed dozens of times, won numerous awards, and took part in numerous workshops with famous dancers/choreographers. Miss Brooke even got to perform in a halftime show at the Prudential Center. Miss Brooke has studied in basically every type of dance—including Hip Hop, ballet, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, tap, and musical theater, with Hip Hop being her favorite! After graduating from Rutgers, she went on to become a case manager and recovery counselor for adults with severe mental illnesses. Brooke also came back to teach on her own at Dream right after her graduation. Miss Brooke is beyond thrilled and excited to continue teaching at the dance studio that made her the strong woman and dancer she is today!
Miss Sabrina Brooks – Co-Director of Dream Dance Academy.
Sabrina Brooks has been dancing since the age of three and competing since she was 8, building a strong foundation in all styles of dance. While she is well-versed in every genre, her heart shines brightest in contemporary, lyrical, and jazz.
With years of training and performance experience, Sabrina has pursued her passion on some of the biggest stages, auditioning for multiple professional NFL and NBA dance teams and advancing to the finals for both professional lacrosse and NFL dance teams. Beyond performing, she has discovered a deep love for teaching and choreography. Her creative work has been recognized with numerous awards throughout the years, and she continues to grow as a choreographer, pushing her dancers to reach new heights each season.
As Co-Director of Dream Dance Academy, Sabrina’s mission is to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers. Her greatest joy comes from sharing her love for dance and watching her students develop not only as performers but also as confident individuals. Her heart truly belongs to the dancers she teaches, and she is dedicated to helping them shine both on and off the stage.
Miss Meghan McCormick – Dance Instructor .
Miss Meg brings over 40 years of dance experience and 20 years of teaching to the Dream family. A proud graduate of Rutgers University, she holds dual degrees in Dance and Exercise Science, blending her technical expertise with a deep understanding of the body.
Her greatest joy is sharing her passion for tap, modern, and strength training with her students, inspiring them to grow not only as dancers but also as confident, disciplined individuals. Over the years, Miss Meg’s creativity and artistry have been recognized with countless awards for her outstanding choreography, a true reflection of her dedication and vision.
She is thrilled to continue sharing her love of dance and movement, guiding each dancer to discover their own strength, artistry, and joy on the stage and beyond.
Miss Amanda Stormo – Hip Hop Instructor.
Miss Amanda Stormo has been part of the Dream Dance Academy family since 2001, where she first discovered her love for hip hop dance. She continued her dance journey at the University of Delaware, where her passion for teaching and choreography began to shine. Over the past 11 years, Miss Amanda has been sharing her energy, creativity, and dedication with the Dream Dance Competition Team, inspiring dancers to grow in both confidence and artistry. Her unique style, combined with her upbeat spirit, creates an encouraging environment where dancers are motivated to push their limits and celebrate the joy of movement.
Miss Kathleen Arcieri – Ballet Instructor.
Miss Kathleen Arcieri has been sharing her love of ballet for over 25 years, inspiring students with her knowledge, artistry, and passion for the art form. A highly accomplished dancer, she earned top honors at the New York International Ballet Competition in 1990. Miss Kathleen brings a wealth of experience and a nurturing spirit to every class, instilling both discipline and joy in her students. She treasures the opportunity to guide and watch each dancer grow, and she is dedicated to helping them discover the beauty and grace of ballet.
Miss Dana Tygar – Dance Instructor.
Miss Dana started dancing as a student at Dream when she was 4 years old, and continued dancing there until she graduated high school. She was well versed in all dance styles; Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, and Contemporary throughout her time at Dream but she always excelled in Ballet and Tap! She learned many valuable dance skills from current Dream teacher, Miss Meg, while growing up at the studio.
She joined Dream’s Elite Competition team at age 8 competing at various competitions and winning numerous awards; this is when she created a friendship with current Dream Company Director, Miss Brooke. Also she attended Morris County School of Technology for Visual and Performing Arts where she worked alongside highly accredited choreographers and learned behind-the-scenes knowledge of dance and drama; this is where she become friends with our other current Dream Company Director, Miss Sabrina!
At age 13, she started student teaching at Dream and that’s when she realized she loved teaching dance and especially loved working with children. Miss Dana attended Florida State University and has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Elementary Education. She is currently an elementary school teacher by day, and dance teacher by night! Miss Dana loves fostering a caring and hardworking environment for her students just the same as her teachers did for her when she attended Dream many years ago!
Miss Dawn Dietz – Acro Instructor.
Miss Dawn has been dancing and tumbling since the age of five. With nearly 30 years of experience as a certified teacher, coach, and accomplished choreographer, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to every class. Over the years, she has taught acrobatics (her favorite!), dance, English, and yoga, sharing her love for both movement and learning with students of all ages. Miss Dawn is thrilled to be part of the Dream family and looks forward to inspiring dancers through the art of acro!
Miss Eilidh McCumber – Dance Instructor.
Miss Eilidh McCumber has been part of the Dream Dance Academy family since 2005, beginning her dance journey at just two years old. As a dedicated student, she discovered her passion for dance and went on to thrive as a member of the Dream Dance Competition Team. Eilidh furthered her training at the Morris County Academy for Performing Arts in Dance, where she also pursued a minor in Theater, and had the opportunity to take classes at both County College of Morris and Montclair State University.
Her love of the arts extends beyond the studio—Eilidh has performed in numerous community and regional productions of plays and musicals across New Jersey, combining her passions for dance, music, and drama. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Pace University, with minors in Neuroscience and Arts Management.
Now returning to Dream as an instructor, Miss Eilidh teaches across all genres of dance. She is devoted to inspiring confidence, artistry, and kindness in her students, and she hopes to instill in them the belief that with hard work and heart, anything is possible.
Miss Melissa Pestritto – Dance & Acro Instructor.
Miss Melissa began her dance journey at the age of three at The Dance Connection, where she spent fifteen years studying all styles of dance and competing in tap, ballet, lyrical, and jazz. After graduating college, she expanded her training to include gymnastics instruction and became safety certified through USA Gymnastics, bringing an added layer of technical expertise to her teaching.
With over 20 years of experience sharing her passion for both dance and acro, Miss Melissa is dedicated to helping her students grow in strength, flexibility, and confidence. She is known for creating a positive, encouraging environment where dancers feel supported to push past their limits and achieve their goals. Her favorite part of teaching is watching each student discover their own unique potential and love for dance.
